A fine ivory Okimono, carved from a solid tusk, of Kinko holding a scroll in one hand, and a staff in the other, whilst seated on a large carp above the waves. With hardwood fitted stand. A brilliant detailed work, by a master craftsman, with a good deal of undercutting to form the waves.

Japanese, Meiji period (1868-1912).
