Carved and blown Ostrich egg.

A fine Japanese carved ostrich egg. Well carved making use of all three colours, the thinnest inner layer is white, the middle layer is grey/blue, and the outer shell is a mottled brown. On one side four swimming carp are cameo carved from only the inner white and grey layers. On the other side flowering iris are engraved through all three layers.
