A large pale celadon jade stone.  Carved as a double gourd box, surrounded by foliage, and young gourds.

Chinese, 18th century.
Provenance: Bill Spiers.
Dimensions: 17cm long x 10cm wide x 6.5cm high.
Stand: Hardwood fitted stand.

This is a rare jade box and cover, well-hollowed, unusually well-carved in high relief.
