A carved porcelain snuff bottle with an amethyst stopper.

Porcelain, carved in high relief with a raised gnarled Prunus with two central
flowers surrounded with unopened buds, all covered in a lime green glaze, the
base signed Wang Bingrong, the bottle of elongated pear drop shape.

Wang Bingrong is probably the most prominent of the biscuit porcelain carvers
and was highly regarded by the literati. This is an excellent example with charm
and it is exceptionally well conceived.
